My furnature in my living room is darker blue (lazyboy) and we are installing laminante wood floors. We are painting first and are having an issue finding the right color to the blue so my question is.....what colors go with blue.....i would love my walls to be a sage color, however, i don't think they match and we really do not want to go with a beige. Any suggestions?
What color would match my furnature in my living room?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

A pale violet like "elation" (# 6827) would look wonderful with the dark blue furniture.
Reply:Consider:
white, ivory, cream
pink, cherry red, burgundy
peach or coral
butter, lemon, pale gold
mint, leaf, sage, lime, hunter, olive
aqua, turquoise
sky or smoke blue
periwinkle, lavender, plum
1] repeat the walls' color in a brighter shade for throw pillows, lamps/shades, ornaments, vase, candles/holders
ex: aqua walls, turquoise pillows; or pink walls, burgundy pillows
2] use a combo of the walls, bright shade, and navy for drapes and rug.
ex: aqua, turquoise, navy rug and drapes
Reply:With your living room furniture being a darker shade of blue, the colors that would match would be: a lighter blue, beige, burnt orange, cream and possibly a sagey green from Sherwin William's called "artichoke". I'm not sure of the green choice, because if your furniture is dark navy blue, this would work. But if it is more like country blue, it will not coordinate. You can check out the Sherwin William's web site, in the color visualizer section and see what you think.
Reply:Check the color charts for Dunn Edwards (celestial whites) and Behr (whites). There are many shades of very pale colors which would work beautifully with blue. Those shades will change in hue, as the light changes during the day....from white to muted green (or whatever). I think one of the white/greens would be just what you wanted - and then you could add accessories/pillows in the deeper sage
Reply:Those are great colors but i suggest to use these colors:
your blue lazyboy
cream for your walls because then anything can match and you can then use an adorable chocolate color for accents a trims! Good Luck! :-)
It will look awesome my friends house has that scheme and she always gets compliments!!!
Reply:Sage goes GREAT with dark blue whatcha talkin about? Especially with the brown color of the laminate floors, that would look really nice. Very earthy colors, nice and calm :) You could even do a red color to have more bold colors.
Reply:You could always go with a sage color. Just be sure to get curtains, throw pillows or a rug with blue and sage colors in them, along with some reds (not bright reds though) and tans.
Reply:white with a hint of silver
