Paint suggestions to paint kitchen cabinets white?

Hi, I am planning on painting my kitchen cabinets white, but am unsure of what color white I should use. I hope to paint the walls a neutral off-white color also, but with sections under my chair-rail in the adjacent dining area and the soffet over my cabinets in sage. The trim will be bright white and I hope to eventually install an oak floor, tropical brown granite countertops, and I will be updating the cabinet hardware with satin nickel. The appliances will be a combo of black and stainless. Appreciate any cabinet and neutral wall color suggestions that work with this. Thanks!

I painted my cabinets a off-white. Not shiny white. That will show any imperfections. They are distressed with brushed nickel handles. The walls are a pretty yellow. I know you want to go neutral, but do not paint the walls anywhere near the same color as the cabinets. An off white neutral with white cabinets will not do a thing for you. You need to go with a color (pastel) to make the room pop. I accented with red and the room pops. It looks great. Try painting the walls the sage green. It will look teriffic! Good Luck!
Reply:not whita anything but white in a kitchen, try a nice brick red color almost a rust look.
Reply:With brown countertops, go with a color called 'swiss coffee' for your cupboards, and a color that is called 'ginger root' or 'louisiana hot sauce' for the walls. If you cannot find these colors, they are available at Cloverdale Paint.
Reply:What color/finish are the cabinets now? If they are in bad shape, you could try a white/ivory but too much white, or too much gloss will look like the inside of a freezer.

What color is the backsplash [ between counter and cabinets ]?

What color accessories out on counters [ canisters, coffeepot, toaster, etc. ] ? Appliance covers can all be same color

Any curtains/valence?

The oak floor sounds great with the 'cool' colors of the black/stainless/nickel finishes, but I would add a little more warmth/color.

Can you finish the cabinets in oak? That would look great with all your appliances and color choices!

If you still want the cabinets to be white, then the walls need to be a different color, maybe a solid color under chair rail and wide stripes of that color and white.

Kitchens should definitely be the favorite color of the chief cook, because you spend so much time there.
