I have a room in my house that is used as a home office and music room. I am wanting to redecorate and am thinking about the shabby chic style. I can't decide what color to paint the walls. I am leaning towards sage green, pale pink or pale aqua. I am wanting to buy a white desk and accessories. I want to promote an atmosphere of calm and confidence. Additionally, I hope to resell my house within the next year. So, any suggestions?
What color to paint my Music Room?
I think the sage green would be a nice calming neutral for the room. With a music room, I think of piano - ebony black and a creamy white with gold accents. Is the music portion for playing or listening? Some plants would add to the calming atmosphere. Posters would help tie in the music theme - concerts, sheet music framed, etc.
Reply:Honestly, I always loved the idea of a navy blue room, but never had the guts to do it. Especially offset with white furniture, I think it'd look very chic and calm.

Reply:For resale purposes, go with the sage green. It is a calm color which you are trying to achieve. You can use the pink for accents. Red is a color of confidence.
Reply:I'm not sure why, but when i think music, the colors black, red, and white pop into my head!
Reply:1] sage green goes with nearly everything
2] it is a clm, relaxing color - great for listening to music, or being creative.
3] add some brass [ picture frames? ] to brighten and enhance the sage [ maybe framed shhet music? ], and brass desk accessories
Reply:"Townhouse Tan" by sherwin williams. Very sophisticated %26amp; the neutral color will make it easier to sell.
