What color floor and counter top goes with natural maple cabinets and white appliances?

My son just bought a house that needs a lot of work, he has new - mills pride - put together cabinets from Home Depot. They were on clearance which is why he made that pick. We have to work with clearance and discounted items, but what colors should we be looking for? He favors muted colors, sage green, burnt orange, sandstone.

What color floor and counter top goes with natural maple cabinets and white appliances?
What kind of counter top to you intend to use, granite, acrylic, quartz.

Acrylic has the widest range of colors.

For the counter top I would go with black quartz or similar dark finish or peppered white going through to cream or pearl.

For the floor; sandstone or limestone would look good.

Why not try the Dupont color selector. You can choose the colors for yourself and see what they look like.

Reply:my brother has maple cabinets %26amp; he put black granite on it %26amp; it looks sharp. He even edge the counter in the wood instead of the counter edge. As far as the floor. U could do a grey/black tile floor to match or stick w/ either wood similar to the cabinets or tile close to it %26amp; use a rug w/ color around the sick/stove etc.. ( i don't know if the table area is in there.. but u could use the rug under the table as well)
Reply:I would go with a deep red or a dark green
Reply:If he likes muted colors, go with a nice oversized tile that is started from the corner of the room to give interest. They have all kinds of ceramic tiles that mimics the expensive stone and tiling it in a diagnol pattern will look great as well.

I would pick a natural stone look and maybe upgrade a bit on the counter and get a matching corian or bullnosed formica.
Reply:Maybe white tile and black counters with sage green walls.
Reply:I would go with clove orange floors, sage green walls and sandstone curtains. He needs a dark color to show off the lighter shaded cabinets. Clove orange or burnt orange would do the trick. :)
Reply:I would say ........%26gt; gray to a bit of whitsh
Reply:anything you choose is fine
