The room is a light green %26amp; tan (kind of a sage color). I thought maybe a jungle theme, but I would really rather do sports or something for a little older child (don't want it to look to baby). Any ideas? I lack creativity.
We just moved to a new home %26amp; I am trying to figure out how to decorate my 2 year old son's room?
lots of ideas

Reply:well decorate so it will grow with him you will want that in the long room when he gets to be like - 6 he will tell you what he wants then, stick to traditional ideas not themes , they change so fast like tv shows change and so does your childs interest plaids primary, objects work great .ikea.com has some great decorating plus pottery barn jungle theme is great but right now everyone seems to be doing that, do stripes paint off the room and stripe it its easy with tape and cheap, have his room and non traditional things, one wall on my daughters room we painted with chalkboard paint its awesome so half way down she can write in chalk all over the wall , easy to clean and great way to take up wall space, im not a fan of barbie or the wiggles so i wanted something different and unique.
Reply:you can do anything with cars and all boys like them.the tan could be dirt and u could use the stick on cars, or make it look like a race track. you can change it easy from like nascar to hot rods or whatever.
Reply:What are his favorite cartoons? Why dont you go that way, decorate it with his favorite cartoon characters. When he gets a bit older you could always change it to a more sports type theme.
Reply:Don't push sports on to him. There is way to much sports in this world already. Let him develop int his own thing as he grows. He may be an artiest or a scientist or an engineer. something intelligent.
