Ground Turkey?

What meat should I put in creamy wild rice soup?
I always say, Italian Sausage is perfect with just about any creamy dish. It holds it's own very well, and adds sooo much extra flavor to the dish. Can you send me some, please?
Reply:If It was me I say Chicken.
Reply:Chicken or Turkey ........ I'd use chicken
Reply:Chicken

Here's a recipe if you need one. Really good!

Nelson Brother's Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

1/2 cup coined carrots

1/2 cup diced celery

1/2 cup broccoli buds

1/2 cup diced onion

1/4 cup paste style chicken base

2 cups water

1 cup cheese sauce

2 cups milk

1 cup cooked wild rice

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon flour

1 pound cooked cubed chicken

In a soup pot, combine carrots, celery, broccoli, onion, chicken base, and water, and bring to a boil. Add cheese sauce, milk, and wild rice. Return to a boil. Combine butter and flour in a saucepan and cook until mixture bubbles. Remove from heat and cool. Add the roux to the soup to thicken to desired consistency. Stir in chicken. Simmer until incorporated.
Reply:chicken, bacon, turkey, shrimp, ham, and Italian sausage
Reply:Absolutely chicken would be the best. Try marinating the chicken breast in zesty Italian dressing over night and grilling it. Than add it to your soup!!
Reply:Chicken goes well with rice..Enjoy.
Reply:CHICKEN, TURKEY.
Reply:The turkey sausage sounds pretty good.
Reply:chicken. or turkey. yummy.
Reply:Chicken. You could use canned chicken to save some time.
Reply:Chicken or Italian Sausage
Reply:Go with chicken or pork. Turkey has too strong a flavor profile, and the toughness of the chicken and pork will contrast nicely with the creamy cream and the soft rice.

I'd go with pork.

If the sauce is red, go with crumbled, diced or sliced sausage.
Reply:I opinion you should put chicken.
Reply:when ever I make it for my daughter and I, I always put chicken in it
Reply:Chicken
Reply:Duck meat. Really. The flavors meld wonderfully.
Reply:Grilled chicken breast.
Reply:How about a spicy sausage like chorizo? I just made sweet potato soup with chorizo this past weekend and it was a great ingredient.
Reply:Any kind of poultry. You don't want to overpower the rice flavors. The shrimp would be good too.
Reply:Kick the meat and do mushrooms. They give a meaty flavor anyway.
