What's the proper way to burn sage? Do you have to use it all?

You don't have to use it, but it is a good cleanser.

You can burn a smudge stick, or you can get loose sage and burn it in a proper container (some use abalone shells, some use cauldrons.. any heatproof container will do).

The indians where i used to live, just lit it in their houses and let it smolder. Nothing special about it that way.....

Now if they were having a ceremony, it was thrown over the sweat lodge pit.
Reply:That's the beauty of free will...you don't "have" to use it .if you do though use a heat proof container and some charcoal or just light it and let it smolder. blessed be
