Sage is the silvery-gray dried leaves of an evergreen shrub of the mint family. Sage is native to the Mediterranean area and is primarily imported by McCormick from the Dalmatian region of Croatia. Croatia's top grade of sage is know as Prime No. 1 Dalmatian. It is a higher quality, better cleaned and processed product. The odor of dried sage leaves is highly aromatic and fragrant and is characterized by a medicinal, piney-woody flavor. Sage is available as whole leaves, rubbed (leaves are crumbled) or in ground form.
Reply:Cut some sage and let it dry, then crumble it up
