Sage a herb what is the meaning of it?

Herbs are plants.



The plants that have short life ( One season ; one year or two years) are referred to as herbs. At least the their above the ground parts have shorter life.



They are non woody.



Typical herbs are - coriander plant , radish, carrot , spinach , sunflower. periwinkle etc.



The term is directly opposite the term tree.



Sage is a particular type of herb cultivated in the gardens for some use.
