There could be several things going on. Two I will cover.
1. It can be the end of the heating cycle that allows the unit to cool down the heat coils.
2. It can also be the defrost kicking in to remove any ice that can build up on the coils.
Both are normal operating conditions. The outside air temperature will play a large part in your defrost cycle.
