Of the several quite different varieties of sage, salvia divinorum is smoked or chewed %26amp; held under the tongue for medical %26amp; mystical purposes. It's NOT the same as what's you burn in native ritual to smudge!

Reply:Sage, no. Sage won't make you high. There's a few herbs I know of that will do it to you, but not any that you can use to cook with.
Reply:If you are looking for a type of high that is legal you can check out Herbal Smoke Shop web site. There are numerous herbs that are smoked for that purpose but I have not heard of sage.
