How to save sage n thyme for longer time.?
put small amounts of any fresh herb into an ice cube tray. cover with spring water and freeze.

once frozen, put the frozen herb cubes into a zipper type plastic bag and use as needed.

you can also dry them quickly in the microwave. i like to use a paper plate as it helps speed the process by absorbing some of the moisture. best to do in small increments of time so to avoid burning.
Reply:A gardener once told me that you should store the herbs in a cool dry place and wrap them up in aluminum foil. This way you will be able to save them for long period of time.
Reply:Tie them up by their stems and hang them upside down in a dark place. They will dry out. You can also put them in ice cube trays and dd water and freeze them. Them pull out a cube to add to any recipe as you need it.
