How easy is it to use SAGE line 50?

I am very familiar with all sorts of software and have worked developing databases etc. and manged ICT projects so I am no stranger to quickly becoming familiar with new software but I have never used SAGE, is it straightforward or totally different from anything else you might find in a standard office? Will a reasonably ICT literate person pick it up in a couple of hours???

How easy is it to use SAGE line 50?
i think you will find it ok to use. i am in the process of teaching myself as we speak and it actually ok to understand. the icons are pretty much in order of how you should process things... and they do have a little chart thing showing you the process from start to finish for various processes.

sage also offer a great telephone service where they can talk you through various things, and they double up by emailing information on any help issues you called them about!

the nominal codes are quite easy to grasp as well... the only thing i will say is that you need to make sure things are inputted correctly because it is difficult to delete (but i believe is possible).

good luck, be a devil and embrass the sage. i am, lol.
Reply:go to the SAGE website and take the tour, you may also - for free- take an online mini exam to test your knowledge

as regards the system per se there is a hand book available as an introduction to sage (particularly version 12) which costs around £12, cannot remember exact title but it is something like Sage Line 50 in Easy Steps and is extremely useful, i am a sage user and find it handy for the odd tips and tricks sections

there is no way you will "pick it up" in a couple of hours but this itself depends on the applications within sage that you are required to use

i strongly suggest you use the sage website as mentioned above
Reply:I work for a company that supplies Sage Pastel Partner, which is user friendly, a little more advanced than Line 50 and generally more reasonably priced. If you want me to get some specific information for you, follow the email link on my profile and I can provide you with more details
