What color would you pick for this room?

I have a small house and the entryway is painted yellow/gold with white woodwork throughout the house. The yellow looks great and sunny. Next is my living room, dining room and kitchen. You can see all three rooms at the same time, they are in a row. I would like to paint my dining room a soft sage green of sorts. I want a light peach or green in the small kitchen with dark wood cabinets. What color would look good with these colors for the living room? I like something to reflect the seaside. I am up for suggestions. Thanks.

What color would you pick for this room?
Your house sounds exactly like my house except I painted my dining room and kitchen a pale yellow with the entry a sage color and the living room a tan color.

If I were you I would paint the walls a sandy color. Sometimes you can over do it with too much color. You don't want to look down through your house and feel like you're over-decorating. I think more of a neutral color is the way to go. Good luck.
Reply:i would go with a bright orange, and omitt the peach and change it to red , yellow is a bright color needing to be with other bright colors to equal a balance , it would look amazing in the summer time and very happy
Reply:google "color wheel" and either use the direct opposite colors on the wheel from what you already have, or the shades right around your color.
Reply:For a beach cottage look, go with an aqua or light turquoise. When you're sure of your other colors, just mix and match till you get the right shade. Definitely keep the white woodwork.

I love this look.
